Carpet basics

Nylon has been on the market since the 60’s, and is easily one of the most popular fibers for this product. Some of the things that aid in its popularity are its strength and durability, an exceptional amount of resilience, and the way that it retains texture.

Olefin has grown in popularity in the past decade or so, primarily thanks to Berber flooring. It’s extremely stain resistant, color fast and it is also resistant to mildew and moisture. For this reason, it’s as great for an outdoor product, as for an indoor one.

Polyester gives you a luxuriously soft underfoot feel, as well as excellent resistance to stains and fading. They are easy to clean and are best for areas in the home that experience low to medium levels of traffic.

Eco friendly carpet

Polymer is renewably sourced, as it is manufactured using corn. It uses less energy to produce and is resilient, durable, and strong, while still maintaining a softness you’ll love.

Wool is the only fiber that is truly natural, while still being durable, touch and easy to clean. Instead of retaining a stain, this natural fiber releases it, instead of absorbing it the way that some other fibers do. Because it is easily the most expensive floor covering, wool is generally reserved for luxury products and area rugs.
